In one paragraph
Free Indian Tools is a free utility website. The tools are calculators and lookups, not professional advice. We aim for accuracy but make no guarantees. You use the tools at your own discretion. For tax, medical, legal or financial decisions, consult a qualified professional. We're not liable for any consequences of relying on calculations or generated documents from this site.
1. What this site is
Free Indian Tools (“the Site”) at freeindiantools.com is a collection of free calculators, lookups, and informational guides aimed at users in India. The site is operated as a personal / non-commercial project. It does not sell products, host paid services, or operate as a registered business entity.
2. Free to use, no account needed
All tools and content on the Site are provided free of charge. No account creation, signup, email verification or payment is required. You may use the Site for personal or commercial decision-making, but not to build derivative paid services that directly resell our content.
3. Calculators are estimates, not advice
The calculators on this Site (EMI, SIP, Income Tax, CTC, HRA, Capital Gains, BMI, Carb Counter, etc.) provide estimates based on standard formulas and current public-domain rules. They are not:
- Professional tax advice. Consult a Chartered Accountant for ITR filing or tax planning.
- Medical advice. Consult a doctor / dietitian for diet, BMI, pregnancy, vaccination decisions.
- Legal advice. Consult a lawyer for wills, rent agreements, real estate or estate planning.
- Financial advice. Consult a SEBI-registered investment advisor before investing.
4. Generated documents (Will, Rent Agreement, GST Invoice)
Document templates generated on the Site (will, rent agreement, GST invoice) are generic templates. They may not be appropriate for your specific situation. You are responsible for:
- Reviewing the generated document for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensuring it complies with your local laws and current regulations.
- Getting professional review for high-value or complex situations.
- Proper signing, witnessing, registration, and stamp-paper requirements where applicable.
5. Accuracy disclaimer
We make a best effort to keep tool data current — tax rates, GST rates, food nutrition values, vaccination schedules, etc. However:
- Indian tax rules change with each Budget. We update annually but there may be lag.
- State-level rates (stamp duty, RTO tax, property tax) change frequently. Verify with the local authority.
- Food and nutrition values are approximations from IFCT and similar standard sources; real values vary by recipe and brand.
- Third-party API responses (postalpincode.in, Open-Meteo, Razorpay IFSC) may have errors; we don't control their data.
Always verify critical numbers with the official source (Income Tax Portal, your bank, CPCB, IT department, etc.) before acting on them.
6. No liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Site and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or any tool / generated document on it. This includes (but isn't limited to) financial losses, tax penalties, missed deadlines, document rejections, medical outcomes, or legal consequences.
7. Intellectual property
Calculator math, blog post content, and the design of the site are © Free Indian Tools. You may share links to specific tools or articles freely. You may not republish, rebrand, or redistribute the content without attribution.
Indian government data referenced on the site (tax slabs, GST rates, RBI rates, IFSC database, AIS data, etc.) is sourced from public domain and remains the intellectual property of the respective government bodies.
8. Acceptable use
Don't do the following:
- Scrape the site at high volume — use the data files in the open-source code instead.
- Build automated systems that hit the site repeatedly, especially the API-backed lookups.
- Misrepresent generated documents (will, rent agreement) as legally vetted by us.
- Use the site to commit fraud, evade taxes, or any other illegal activity.
9. Third-party links and APIs
Some tools fetch data from third-party APIs (postalpincode.in for pincodes, Open-Meteo for AQI, Razorpay's public IFSC API). We don't control or warrant the accuracy of third-party data. Their privacy policies and terms apply when their services are used.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date at the top.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
