Empirical evidence is weak. Many principles align with practical design (south-west bedroom = away from morning sun; northeast water source = drainage). Use it as a soft heuristic, not absolute law.
Can't fix existing house — what to do?
Mitigation via Vastu doshas — mirrors, plants, color changes, copper / brass elements. Most pandits offer parihara puja for severe defects. Many people also just live happily ignoring it.
Score below 50 — should I sell?
No — Vastu shouldn't override lifestyle / family / financial considerations. A poor Vastu home that you love is better than a perfect Vastu home you don't.
